Pause to Give Thanks

Can you believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow? This Thursday gives us time to pause, breathe, and remember all the things we're thankful for. So often the busyness of the holidays causes us to have less than joyful hearts. (Can I get an amen?) It's like we're doing so much to get ready that we're grouchy when our family finally shows up!

Truth be told for many of us, 2021 was as difficult as 2020, and 2022 has been a year of recovering. It's hard to always feel thankful. You've shared with us your good times and hard times; your prayer requests and your praises; we've rejoiced and cried with you. I've discovered through my own sorrows that thankfulness is a choice I've had to make every day, with some days being harder than others.

Thankfulness takes my weary heart and turns it heavenward, taking my mind off my circumstances and on to the goodness of the Lord. I continually remind myself, "God is good and is faithful. He's never let me down, and He won't start now." Even on my hardest days, I recall all the Lord has done for me--I can't help but rejoice! When I see how I've grown from the hard times, I have a thankful heart.

Whatever your plans bring this Thanksgiving, we hope the day is as special as you are to us. As we remember all we're thankful for, you're truly at the top of our list. We love and adore you! You are such a blessing to us.

God is so good. Even in the hardest of times, I pray our lives are full of joy, peace, and thanksgiving. May we overflow with thankfulness and share the hope that is in us!

Until next time, we're grateful for you!

Joy
